Step #1
You will need a server to host your image/picture.
Most all ISPs offer their customers some FREE webspace for your use. Contact your internet service provider and ask about their free hosting service. An internet service provider or "ISP" are the folks who hook you up to the internet.
Or there are countless free hosts out there on the net that you can use if your ISP does not offer free hosting for non-commercial use. Do a search for (Free web hosting) you will find many to choose from. Go to http://www.google.com and search on the keywords, "Free web hosting"
Step #2
You will have to have the means to upload
your pictures to your web host. This is called FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
I recommend Cute FTP. You can get a free copy of Cute FTP at this address.
http://www.cuteftp.com
Step #3
Once you have landed a host for your pictures
you will need to name your picture. Remember to always name your pictures
with NO spaces in the name. Like This: (myradiopicture.jpg) It's best to
use the .JPG format or the .GIF on your pictures for the internet. You
can name your pictures what ever you want.
Once you have uploaded the image to the host then you will need to know it's URL or web address of the image.
For instance,
Lets say your free host web address is something
like this.
http://www.myfreehost.com This would be the
hosts address. So if you get an account with the free host then you would
be assigned a username with them. Lets say your username is "frank"and
you have named your picture (myradiopicture.jpg) So to view your picture
on the internet you would need to go to this address http://www.myfreehost.com/frank/myradiopicture.jpg
Do you see how the address of your picture is lined out with the hosts name first then your username is second then finally your picture name is on the end. NOTE the / between each portion of the address. To see your picture on the net it is necessary to include the /s in the address. Always check that your picture is indeed available at the address you have created before you post it. Just enter your picture address into your browser to check that it is indeed there! Just as you would if your entering a website address to go to a website. Again, the address we created for this example is http://www.myfreehost.com/frank/myradiopicture.jpg
Now to add your picture on this posting board
use this HTML CODE
<IMG SRC="http://www.myfreehost.com/frank/myradiopicture.jpg"
>
You see your picture address is surrounded
by some coding
<IMG SRC="XXXXXX"> place your picture address
where I have placed the XXXXs. Remove the XXs of course!
Once you have written this address into your post and have the HTML coding surrounding it correctly your picture will be displayed on your post automatically!
This all may seem a bit complicated, it really
isn't, it's much simpler then it sounds.
If you have any problems or question then
just ask, I will help ya! Email
Bill for Help.
What ever host you end up using they will have
instructions for you on how to do the FTP uploads to their server.
Good luck!
